Description
The PhaseGuard ST 40 is an in-line turbidity sensor designed for reliable phase detection and interface monitoring in hygienic process lines. It enables real-time monitoring and control of product transitions in beverage, food and dairy applications, such as beer/yeast separation, beer–water interfaces, fruit juice processing and product–water changeovers. By accurately detecting interfaces and start/stop conditions, it supports process optimization, minimizes product losses and increases yields.
Using proven turbidity-based phase detection, the PhaseGuard ST 40 provides very short response times and continuous device self-monitoring in the background, ensuring stable process control and efficient CIP monitoring. Its seal-less, hygienic design according to EHEDG guidelines and compliance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on food-contact materials make it ideal for sanitary production environments.
The device features a coloured display with simple, direct configuration on the instrument and easy integration into existing control systems. With extremely low maintenance requirements, high reliability and cost-efficient operation, the PhaseGuard ST 40 is a Swiss Engineered / Swiss Made solution suitable for the beverage, food and dairy industry, as well as for chemical and pharmaceutical applications.
