Description
Fire Guard 2 is a compact optical detector designed for rapid and reliable fire and smoke detection in road and rail tunnels. Using an LED-based measurement principle, it continuously monitors the air for smoke without moving parts, ensuring high reliability and very low power consumption.
The instrument offers fast, dependable detection with a low risk of false alarms. Optional heating elements minimise the influence of fog, providing stable operation even in challenging tunnel environments. Fire Guard 2 can be mounted on walls, ceilings, intermediate ceilings or in ventilation dampers, allowing flexible installation in both new and existing infrastructures.
Thanks to permanent instrument self-monitoring in the background and a simple recalibration procedure with a checking rod, operation and maintenance are straightforward. With no consumables and extremely low maintenance costs, Fire Guard 2 is an efficient and durable solution for tunnel safety and fire protection systems.
