Description
The 6890 product series is a compact, fully featured NTP network time server designed to provide precise and reliable time synchronization at a very competitive price point. It integrates a powerful 72-channel GNSS receiver supporting GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and BeiDou, ensuring stable and accurate satellite time reception even in challenging antenna installation environments.
With its small form factor housing for DIN-rail mounting, the 6890 is an excellent choice wherever space is limited, making it ideal for cabinets, control panels and decentralized installations. It offers a cost-effective solution for network time synchronization using Network Time Protocol (NTP), suitable for industrial automation, utilities, transport infrastructure and building management systems.
Redundant network connectivity can be implemented via integrated port aggregation / bonding / NIC teaming, or by optionally enabling PRP/HSR according to IEC 62439-3:2016 for high-availability networks. Power can be supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE), while a redundant 24 VDC power input further enhances system availability and operational reliability in critical environments.
